Addison Community Garage Sale Oct 6th

Time to clean out those closest and get rid of the clutter! Addison is throwing its annual Community Garage Sale for its residents in the Sam's parking lot at 4150 Belt Line Rd. If you would like to participate they have an online application. For the small fee of $20 they will provide you with an 8ft table and 2 folding chairs for your 10 x 11 space. 

This is for residents wanting to get rid of their clutter and not businesses to sell their wares. You can not sell firearms, weaponry, live pets, or food. This will make it nice for the sellers as well as the buyers seeking that great bargain.

City Council Meets Tuesday

Addison City Council meets this Tuesday at 7:30PM n the Council Chambers at Addison Town Hall located 5300 Belt Line Road, Dallas, TX 75254. 

They will be discussing budget items among other items according to their agenda.

If you live, work or own a business in Addison you should attend some of your council meetings. This is especially true for our young professionals. These are the people that have an affect on your  entire community and it is up to us as citizens to voice our concerns and praise. It is important for your council to be in touch with their constituents and equally important for the citizens to know who and what they are supporting come election time. The best way to accomplish both is to attend meetings and events. 

Addison professionals and citizens lead busy active lives and can't always find the time to attend meetings. This is a fact of life for many Americans today. The City of Addison understands this and so the stream their open meetings live from their website as well as house past meetings. Just another reason Addison is an awesome place to set down roots.

Addison City Council Adopts Budget and Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2012-2013
September 18, 2012: The Addison City Council voted to adopt its FY 2012-2013 budget and tax rate last night.

The budget appropriates $65,868,980. The tax rate was set at  58 cents per $100.00 of assessed value, which is the same as last year. Past and present budgets can be found on the City of Addison's website.
